Job Description

Position Summary The Learning Beyond Boundaries Teen Pathways Program Manager coordinates the planning, implementation, scheduling, documentation, and continuous improvement of Dragon's Den's teen pathway for youth ages 13-18. This role ensures that LBB operates as a safe, structured, and opportunity-rich out-of-school-time program that keeps teens connected to caring adults, academic support, leadership development, workforce readiness, and supervised community-based enrichment. Essential Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day supervision and direction to LBB Lead Teachers, LBB Support Teacher, Behavior De-escalation Specialists and the LBB Summer Liaison to ensure consistent quality programming.
  • Coordinate day-to-day implementation of LBB, including program calendar, staffing communication, partner scheduling, transportation coordination, and youth/family communication.
  • Support recruitment, enrollment, orientation, attendance tracking, and retention of LBB teen participants, beginning with the initial cohort and supporting growth over the grant period.
  • Coordinate Tuesday-Friday school-year programming, including on-site academic/workforce sessions and off-site learning/career exposure experiences.
  • Maintain the partner calendar and communicate expectations to community partners, consultants, interns, and volunteers supporting LBB.
  • Support teens in completing goal maps, code of conduct expectations, leadership activities, workforce-readiness milestones, and reflective practices.
  • Coordinate with the Behavior De-escalation Specialists to ensure behavior expectations, safety routines, and de-escalation supports are consistent during on-site and off-site activities.
  • Assist with summer employment pathway planning, including employer outreach, placement tracking, and communication with the LBB Summer Liaison when that role is active.
  • Communicate regularly with caregivers, schools, and referral partners to support youth engagement, attendance, and follow-through.
  • Participate in internal planning meetings, staff training, program debriefs, and continuous improvement activities. Compliance, Documentation, and Data Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate attendance, dosage, participant contact, partner activity, and milestone records required for reporting.
  • Collect and organize youth surveys, reflection forms, partner notes, and other documentation tied to outcomes and performance indicators.
  • Participate in required trauma-informed care, SEL, safety, mandated reporter, and Dragon's Den program trainings.
  • Ensure that timesheets/time and effort records accurately reflect actual time worked on eligible grant activities.
  • Support grant documentation by retaining program schedules, partner confirmations, transportation records, pictures and activity logs as requested by leadership.
  • Immediately report safety incidents, behavior concerns, and mandatory reporting concerns according to Dragon's Den policies. Required Qualifications
  • Experience coordinating youth programming, out-of-school-time programming, teen leadership programming, workforce readiness, education, social services, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusting relationships with teens and families while maintaining clear boundaries and consistent expectations.
  • Strong organizational, communication, scheduling, and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to work with youth impacted by poverty, trauma, disability-related needs, school disengagement, or behavioral challenges.
  • Ability to use basic technology for attendance, documentation, communication, and reporting.
  • Must complete and maintain all required youth-safety requirements, including PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal History Record Check, FBI fingerprinting, mandated reporter training, CPR/First Aid, and any Dragon's Den-required de-escalation/ behavior-support training
  • Valid driver's license and reliable means of transportation to and from work are required. Candidates must be able to arrive consistently and on time for scheduled program shifts, meetings, trainings, and off-site activities. Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with career exploration, college/postsecondary readiness, workforce development, mentoring, or teen case management.
  • Experience coordinating partnerships, field trips, transportation, or community-based learning opportunities.
  • Training in trauma-informed care, de-escalation, restorative practices, SEL, or positive youth development. Schedule and Physical Requirements
  • Part-time schedule with afternoon/evening availability required to align with LBB programming.
  • Ability to support off-site programming, partner visits, and community-based enrichment activities.
  • Ability to move throughout the facility, supervise youth in active settings, and respond calmly to youth needs or safety concerns.
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and physically assisting, lifting, or carrying a child when necessary for safety, emergency response, or program operations, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • This position may be required to drive a Dragon's Den van or other approved vehicle for youth transportation if private bus transportation is unavailable or if program needs require it. Candidates must have a valid driver's license, a safe driving record, and the ability to meet Dragon's Den's driving, background-check, and insurance requirements before transporting youth.
