Job Description

BARC Developmental Services is a not-for-profit agency serving Bucks County Pennsylvania individuals with developmental disabilities since 1951. BARC Developmental Services is looking for a caring Program Specialist in our Vocational Services Department located in Quakertown, Pa. BARC Developmental Services is currently offering a $1,500 sign on bonus! Work weekly day shifts, no nights or weekends. Full benefits The Program Specialist, with the leadership of the Rehabilitation Manager, is responsible to the workers supported by providing active leadership and advocacy role in the provision of clinical supports for persons supported. The Program Specialist is part of a dynamic team responsible for an assigned caseload, performs plan development, worker counseling and human services support, in compliance with regulations and case note documentation as guided by each worker's support plan. The satisfaction of the workers and families supported through BARC is essential. The Program Specialist is expected to assist workers, family members, staff and others with concern and empathy; respect for their confidentiality and privacy and at all times communicate in a courteous and respectful manner.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this position successfully, an associate must be able to meet the requirements listed below, and show knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field with 30 credit hours in Human Services required. At least 2 years working directly with persons with IDD, Proficiency in Excel and MS Word software preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES
Valid PA driver's license and acceptable driving record required (based on BARC Driver Safety Policy).
