WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a collaborative, innovative, and student-centered leader who is passionate about designing and implementing high-quality out-of-school-time learning experiences that improve student achievement. The ideal candidate is an instructional leader with expertise in curriculum design, professional development, and program implementation who will lead the planning, coordination, and continuous improvement of the district's Texas ACE Summer Learning Program. This individual will develop rigorous, school-day aligned summer curriculum; support the implementation of High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM), High-Impact Tutoring (HIT), family engagement, and enrichment programming; provide coaching and technical assistance to campus staff; and use data to drive continuous improvement. The successful candidate builds strong partnerships with district and campus leaders, families, and community organizations to ensure high-quality programming that supports student success and complies with all Texas ACE and 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
Master's Degree in Education from an accredited college or university required; Major in Curriculum & Instruction preferred Valid Texas Teaching Certificate required Texas Principal Certification preferred
Experience:
Minimum five (5) years of successful classroom teaching experience required Experience with state/federal grant compliance and reporting required Experience working with at-risk students and diverse families required Experience leading, coaching, or supporting staff; coordinating programs; and managing community partnerships preferred. Special Knowledge and Skills Experience designing, implementing, and evaluating high-quality summer learning, extended learning, and after-school programs. Understanding of student development, including social-emotional and behavioral needs. Strong data analysis and reporting skills with the ability to use academic, attendance, participation, and program data to drive continuous improvement. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and TX21st or similar data management systems. Experience supporting diverse student populations, including students with special needs. Ability to build collaborative relationships with district and campus leadership, students, staff, families, community organizations, and external partners through exceptional interpersonal, presentation, facilitation, and written/oral communication skills. Strong leadership, organizational, project management, coaching, and problem-solving skills. Flexible schedule to support evening, weekend, and summer programming. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Experience with Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) preferred.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Executive Leadership Participate in professional development, state training, and technical assistance to strengthen knowledge and skills related to Texas ACE, instructional leadership, and grant implementation. Foster collaboration and maintain effective two-way communication with Texas ACE staff, campus and district leadership, families, community partners, and other stakeholders. Demonstrate transformational leadership and professional, ethical, and responsible behavior while promoting high-quality out-of-school-time programming that supports student achievement and continuous improvement. Support the Project Director and Executive Director of Student, Family, and Community Services in developing, implementing, and monitoring district goals, performance measures, and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Texas ACE grant objectives and campus improvement goals. Provide leadership, coaching, and technical assistance to Texas ACE Site Coordinators and program staff to promote consistent implementation, accountability, and continuous program improvement.
System Leadership:
Lead the districtwide implementation and continuous improvement of Texas ACE academic, enrichment, family engagement, community engagement, and summer learning initiatives. Design, develop, coordinate, and evaluate the Texas ACE Summer Learning Program, including high-quality curriculum, instructional resources, and programming aligned with district priorities and grant requirements. Support the implementation of High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM), High-Impact Tutoring (HIT), and other evidence-based instructional practices across all Texas ACE campuses. Collaborate with district and campus leadership to align out-of-school-time programming with school-day instruction, district initiatives, student needs, and campus improvement goals. Develop districtwide systems, resources, and implementation guides that promote consistent, high-quality programming across all Texas ACE sites. Monitor and evaluate program implementation and effectiveness through observations and analysis of academic, attendance, participation, family engagement, and other program data to identify trends and implement data-informed continuous improvement strategies. Ensure compliance with Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) Cycle 13 grant requirements and support district readiness for monitoring, audits, and continuous quality improvement. Participate in Texas ACE 5 to Drive, Coaching to Quality, and other state technical assistance initiatives to strengthen program quality and sustainability. Professional Learning Community (PLC's) Partner with Site Coordinators, teachers, and instructional staff to align out-of-school-time programming, High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM), High-Impact Tutoring (HIT), and summer learning curriculum with school-day instruction and campus priorities. Facilitate collaboration among Texas ACE campuses by sharing best practices, instructional resources, and evidence-based strategies that improve program quality and student outcomes. Collaborate with district and campus leadership to evaluate program outcomes, identify instructional needs, and implement strategies that strengthen academic achievement. Effective Feedback Provide coaching, technical assistance, and professional support to Texas ACE Site Coordinators and program staff to strengthen instructional practices, program implementation, and student outcomes. Conduct regular program observations across Texas ACE campuses and provide timely, actionable feedback to promote continuous improvement and consistent implementation of grant requirements. Monitor the quality and fidelity of academic, enrichment, family engagement, and summer learning programming to ensure alignment with district priorities, High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM), High-Impact Tutoring (HIT), and Texas ACE program requirements. Provide constructive feedback and targeted support to improve instructional quality, curriculum implementation, and the effectiveness of out-of-school-time programming across all Texas ACE campuses. Collaborate regularly with the Project Director, district leadership, Site Coordinators, and campus instructional leadership to evaluate program implementation, identify areas for growth, and develop strategies that support continuous improvement and student achievement. Culture & Climate Create, cultivate, and promote a culture of excellence, collaboration, continuous improvement, and shared accountability across all Texas ACE campuses. Foster a positive, inclusive, and student-centered environment that supports academic achievement, student engagement, and overall program quality. Build and sustain meaningful relationships with district and campus leadership, Site Coordinators, students, families, community organizations, and other stakeholders. Identify, analyze, and apply current research and best practices to strengthen Texas ACE programming and improve student outcomes. Promote high-quality academic, enrichment, family engagement, and summer learning experiences that support students' academic, social-emotional, behavioral, and leadership development. Support Site Coordinators in creating safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environments where students feel connected, supported, and empowered to succeed. Serve as the district Texas ACE Program Specialist in accordance with district policies and state and federal grant requirements. Foster meaningful family engagement and community partnerships that strengthen student success and create a sense of belonging. Collaborate with district and campus leadership, families, and community partners to identify needs, remove barriers to participation, and support continuous program improvement. Personnel Management Collaborate with the Project Director to recruit, interview, recommend for hire, train, and support Texas ACE personnel in accordance with district policies and grant requirements. Provide leadership, coaching, observations, technical assistance, and ongoing professional development to Texas ACE Site Coordinators and program staff to strengthen instructional practices, monitor implementation, and improve student outcomes. Design, coordinate, and facilitate districtwide professional learning opportunities that support High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM), High-Impact Tutoring (HIT), family engagement, summer learning, and other Texas ACE initiatives. Support the implementation of staff onboarding, mentoring, and leadership development programs to build the capacity of Texas ACE personnel. Collaborate with Site Coordinators to identify staffing, training, and professional learning needs that support high-quality program implementation. Develop staff capacity through continuous coaching, feedback, mentoring, and opportunities for professional growth. Maintain documentation related to professional development, coaching activities, program observations, and recommendations in accordance with district policies and grant requirements. Collaborate with district and campus leadership to support personnel decisions, succession planning, and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen Texas ACE programming. School or Community Relations Articulate the district's and Texas ACE Program's mission to students, families, community members, and stakeholders while promoting support for the program's goals and objectives. Develop, coordinate, and support districtwide family engagement initiatives that strengthen family-school partnerships and promote student academic achievement, attendance, and overall well-being. Communicate regularly with district and campus staff, families, community partners, and stakeholders to provide timely and consistent information regarding Texas ACE programming, district initiatives, and available resources. Build, develop, and sustain strategic partnerships with community organizations, businesses, higher education institutions, government agencies, and other stakeholders to expand opportunities and resources for students and families. Facilitate and support the District Texas ACE Steering Committee by engaging stakeholders in program planning, implementation, evaluation, sustainability, and continuous improvement. Recruit, coordinate, and recognize volunteers, community partners, and collaborating organizations that support Texas ACE program goals and student success. Assess district and community needs to develop and implement family engagement, community engagement, and support services that address identified needs and strengthen program effectiveness. Represent the Texas ACE Program at district, campus, regional, and community meetings, events, and collaborative initiatives to strengthen public awareness and foster positive relationships with stakeholders. Management of Fiscal, Administrative, and Facilities Functions Support the Project Director in planning, coordinating, and evaluating districtwide Texas ACE program operations to ensure alignment with district priorities and grant objectives Develop and coordinate districtwide academic, enrichment, family engagement, and summer learning plans, resources, and implementation timelines. Maintain accurate district records related to curriculum, professional development, family engagement, summer learning, program implementation, inventories, and other assigned program documentation in accordance with district and grant requirements. Compile, maintain, and submit accurate and timely reports, data, and documentation required by the district, TEA, and the Texas ACE grant, including required entries into TEA-approved data management systems. Assist the Project Director in monitoring program expenditures and developing annual budget requests to support instructional materials, professional development, family engagement, and summer learning initiatives while ensuring fiscal responsibility and compliance with grant requirements. Coordinate districtwide operational planning for assigned Texas ACE initiatives, including professional development, family engagement events, summer programming, and other grant activities. Ensure timely and accurate data collection, reporting, and documentation related to student participation, program implementation, family engagement, professional development, and other required grant activities. Maintain compliance with district policies, state and federal laws, and all applicable Texas ACE/Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) grant requirements. Coordinate districtwide summer program planning, including curriculum, instructional resources, professional development, scheduling, logistics, and implementation support to ensure a high-quality summer learning experience. Metrics of Success Demonstrates measurable improvements in student academic outcomes through the implementation of High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM), High-Impact Tutoring (HIT), summer learning, and other evidence-based instructional practices. Successfully develops, implements, and evaluates high-quality districtwide academic, enrichment, family engagement, community engagement, and summer learning initiatives. Aligns Texas ACE programming with district instructional priorities, school-day instruction, identified student needs, and campus improvement goals. Provides effective coaching, technical assistance, professional development, and monitoring that strengthen staff capacity and support consistent, high-quality implementation of Texas ACE programming across campuses. Meets district family engagement goals, expands community partnerships, and facilitates an effective Texas ACE Steering Committee. Uses student, program, and district data to evaluate program effectiveness, identify trends and areas of need, and implement continuous improvement strategies. Maintains accurate and timely TX21st data, grant reports, professional development records, and required compliance documentation while meeting Texas ACE Cycle 13 requirements and maintaining satisfactory performance on TEA monitoring and continuous quality improvement indicators. Demonstrates professionalism, instructional leadership, effective communication, collaboration, initiative, and timely completion of assigned responsibilities. Supervisory Responsibilities Provides functional supervision, coaching, technical assistance, and professional support to Texas ACE Site Coordinators and grant-funded personnel. Supports program implementation, facilitates professional learning, monitors program quality, and promotes continuous improvement and compliance with district policies and Texas ACE grant requirements.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical Demands Typical demands of a school environment, including extensive computer use and district-wide travel for meetings and events. Lifting and carrying of books, boxes, and audiovisual equipment, light (15-20 pounds), climbing, stretching, visual acuity, walking, pulling, bending, stooping, climbing stairs, reaching, pushing, sitting, kneeling, standing, and twisting, may be required to control behavior through physical restraint. Work Environment Primarily school-based with regular interaction with district staff, educators, students, families, and community members. Campus visits will be required as needed and as a part of ensuring program implementation with fidelity and monitoring of service delivery models. Attendance at evening or weekend events may be required. Frequent prolonged and irregular hours. Reading, supporting instruction, demonstrating computer skills appropriate for assignment, effective communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work well with students, concentration (detailed work), interpretive skills (policy, procedure, dates), reasoning skills, understanding verbal instructions, analyzing, differentiating, memorizing, coordinating, compiling, and computing.
