Job Description

Job Summary:
As a Program Manager, you'll work closely with residents and their families while providing ongoing support, developing staff, and guidance to caregivers. Promotes daily functioning and health of residents by developing day-to-day management and long-term planning of the resident caregiving area. This position is for an individual who enjoys hands-on care and leadership and wants to grow professionally within a supportive, team-oriented environment. While some remote work is available, this Program Manager position is primarily in the field and requires regular in-person visits with residents and caregivers.
Reports to:
Operations Manager Caregiver Job Responsibilities:
  • Accomplish caregiver objectives by orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, communicating job expectations, recommending compensation provisions, and ensuring adherence to Bilan Quality Care policies and procedures.
  • Frequently provides on-site management of caregivers to ensure implementation of Bilan Quality Cares Policies and Procedures and effective resident care.
  • Frequently receive feedback from resident and caregiving staff to assess relationships between parties and work as needed to remedy problem areas.
  • Ensure the resident's (PLAN OF CARE??) is being implemented appropriately and effectively.
  • Assure quality of care by developing and implementing standards of care, enforcing adherence to Wisconsin State, DHS 88.01 and other governing agency regulations; measuring health outcomes against standards; making or recommending adjustments to maintain compliance.
  • Provide information to residents and the caregiving team by answering questions and fulfilling requests.
  • Educate employees, residents and residents family members about health care issues.
  • Function as a resource person and mentor to all caregivers to maintain high professional standards and be available to answer staff questions.
  • Scheduling hours and assigning caregivers to particular residents.
  • Receive employee call-offs, make records of specifics and update schedules as appropriate.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by designing and implementing policies and procedures, rules, and regulations to this effect.
  • Provide input to the Administrators for the development and improvement of policies and procedures to support the residents safety and quality of care.
  • Maintain documentation of resident care services
  • Audit resident records.
  • Ability to take ownership without constant direction.
Caregiver Qualifications/Skills:
  • Supervise and support caregivers
  • Creating a safe, effective environment, while being compassionate and resident/caregiver focused
  • Detail oriented, organized, proactive and dependable.
  • Complete documentation and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Adaptable and able to manage changing priorities
  • Monitor service quality and ensure care plans are followed
  • Train and mentor caregivers
  • Communicate with families, guardians, and care teams
  • Assist with staffing needs and problem-solving when challenges arise
  • Support individuals in reaching personal goals and participating in their community
  • Cover critical resident shifts when caregivers are unavailable
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
  • 2+ years of caregiving, direct-support, or similar experience required
  • Previous experience in management or supervisory in a caregiving setting
  • Experience training, coaching, or mentoring employees (caregivers)
  • First Aid & Choking and Fire Safety within 90 days of hire.
  • Any state-mandated certification
  • Prior experience as a professional or personal experience supporting individuals with disabilities, mental illnesses, or challenging behaviors is strongly required.
  • Experience working with individualized service plans or care plans
  • Continuing Education requirements met annually.
  • Must be at least 18 years old, with a high school diploma or equivalent
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $71,178.39 per year
