Job Description

Birdi Systems, Inc. (BSI) is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Project Manager to lead complex electrical, low-voltage, infrastructure, and systems integration projects from design through completion. This role is responsible for overall project delivery, including scope, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, subcontractor coordination, quality, safety, client relationships, and project closeout. The ideal candidate has a strong background in electrical construction and/or low-voltage systems, with experience managing Design/Build projects in commercial, aviation, transportation, government, or other complex environments. Experience with physical security systems-including access control, CCTV, VMS, and related communications infrastructure-is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead projects from design and planning through construction, commissioning, and closeout. Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, contracts, and deliverables to ensure successful project execution. Coordinate engineering, field operations, subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and internal teams. Review electrical and low-voltage designs, drawings, specifications, material requirements, and installation plans. Oversee procurement, cost estimating, material management, change orders, and inventory requirements. Monitor project performance, identify risks and issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule and budget. Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, quality, safety, and compliance and resolve field issues. Manage client expectations, contract requirements, scope changes, and project communications. Lead project meetings and provide clear status updates, forecasts, and reporting to clients and senior leadership. Maintain accurate project documentation, including schedules, reports, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and closeout documentation. Ensure compliance with applicable safety requirements, building codes, contractual requirements, and local, state, and federal regulations. Support commissioning, testing, system integration, and project turnover. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; 10+ years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. 8+ years of progressive project management experience, with a strong background in electrical construction, low-voltage systems, or technical infrastructure projects. Demonstrated experience managing complex commercial, aviation, transportation, government, or infrastructure projects. Strong understanding of electrical construction, low-voltage systems, construction practices, project controls, and Design/Build methodologies. Experience with access control, CCTV, VMS, communications, or other integrated security systems is highly desirable. Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, procurement, subcontractors, vendors, and contract requirements. Strong knowledge of cost estimating, change management, project documentation, and quality control. PMP certification is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management/scheduling software; experience with MS Project is a plus. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, problem-solving, and client-management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, project-driven environment. Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Additional Requirements:
