Job Description

The Fordy Group is partnering with a leading heavy civil and utility contractor to hire an experienced Utilities Project Manager in Atlanta, GA. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor delivering major utility and public infrastructure projects throughout the region, with a strong reputation for quality, safety, and long-term employee development. Role Overview The Utilities Project Manager will oversee the planning, coordination, execution, and financial management of utility construction projects. Working closely with Superintendents, field teams, subcontractors, engineers, suppliers, and clients, this role will be responsible for delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget. Key Responsibilities Manage utility construction projects from preconstruction through closeout Oversee project budgets, schedules, contracts, cost tracking, and forecasting Coordinate closely with Superintendents and field teams to ensure effective project execution Manage subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, inspectors, and clients Review plans, specifications, contracts, and construction documents Monitor project progress, productivity, costs, and schedule performance Identify and resolve project issues and potential risks Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, and project documentation Lead project meetings and maintain strong communication with project stakeholders Ensure projects meet safety, quality, schedule, and contractual requirements Support estimating and preconstruction activities on new utility projects Maintain strong client relationships throughout project delivery Candidate Profile Previous experience managing utility, heavy civil, or underground infrastructure projects Strong experience with water, sewer, stormwater, pipeline, or other utility construction Experience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, and cost controls Experience with DOT, municipal, public infrastructure, or large-scale civil projects Strong understanding of utility installation, excavation, trenching, grading, and sitework Ability to read and interpret civil plans, specifications, and contract documents Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to effectively manage field teams, subcontractors, clients, engineers, and other stakeholders Strong commitment to safety, quality, and successful project delivery Benefits & Opportunities Competitive salary with performance-based bonuses Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with company match Generous paid time off and holidays Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) Collaborative, safety-driven culture Long-term career growth and development opportunities
INDTFG Pay:
$130,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
