Job Description

Project Assistant Industry:

Temp-to-Hire with potential for Direct Hire for highly qualified candidates

Pay:

$18.00-$20.00 per hour, with overtime opportunities

Work Schedule:

Full-time, project-based schedule. Candidates must be flexible to work varying 8.5-hour shifts, generally ranging from approximately 7:30 AM-9:00 PM. Examples may include 7:30 AM-4:00 PM or 12:30 PM-9:00 PM. Occasional overnight coverage may be required. Schedules are communicated in advance whenever possible.

About The Company:

Our client is an established telecommunications organization that supports large-scale technology and communications projects for businesses nationwide. The company provides a collaborative, team-oriented environment with opportunities to develop technical and project coordination skills and grow within the organization. We are seeking a Project Administrator to help coordinate the day-to-day execution of telecommunications projects. This position serves as a key point of contact between field technicians, customers, and internal project teams. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to effectively manage multiple priorities throughout the day. This is a hands-on coordination role that is well suited for someone interested in building a career in project management, telecommunications, or operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as a primary point of contact for field technicians throughout active projects. Handle incoming calls and requests from technicians working at customer locations. Coordinate technician check-ins and check-outs and monitor job progress. Contact technicians in advance to confirm upcoming assignments and ensure they have the information needed to complete their work. Monitor scheduled technicians and follow up when assignments are delayed or require additional support. Enter and maintain work requests and project information within the company's ticketing system. Track individual jobs throughout the day and help keep projects moving according to schedule. Review completed work and help ensure projects meet established quality standards. Obtain appropriate customer approval when additional or out-of-scope work is required. Close completed orders and accurately document additional work performed. Follow established processes to help projects remain on schedule and within expected financial guidelines. Communicate effectively with internal teams and external resources to resolve issues and keep work progressing.

Qualifications:

1-2+ years of experience in project coordination, dispatching, customer service, account coordination, operations, or a similar environment. Telecommunications, field service, technology, or related industry experience is preferred but not required. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and follow-through. Comfortable communicating with technicians and customers by phone. Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a team. Stable work history and demonstrated reliability. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Ability to learn and navigate ticketing/work-order management systems.
