PROJECT MANAGER SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Travel frequently to customer locations and project sites to attend client meetings, determine project requirements, and support projects from planning through installation and start-up. Perform field surveys and take accurate measurements at customer facilities to support system design, fabrication, layout, and installation. Take approval drawings to customer sites and physically lay out the proposed system to verify dimensions, equipment locations, clearances, elevations, access, and other site conditions before fabrication and installation. Work directly with customers, design, engineering, fabrication, and installation teams during the planning and execution phases of projects. Estimate projects and assist in determining and purchasing the correct components and materials. Monitor projects, work hours, budgets, expenditures, schedules, and field progress. Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the client, project team, installation personnel, and management. Ensure clients' needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner while maintaining project quality and schedule expectations. Maintain tracking logs and project documentation. Track and manage contemplated change notices and change orders. Participate actively in field installation and project start-up activities, including hands-on installation support as needed. Act as Lead Installer when needed based on project complexity, staffing needs, or schedule demands. When serving as Lead Installer, coordinate and direct field installation activities, communicate expectations to installation personnel, and help ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and according to approved drawings and project requirements. Troubleshoot field conditions and installation issues and coordinate practical solutions with customers, engineering, design, and internal teams to keep projects moving. Communicate ideas for improving company processes with a positive and constructive attitude and encourage the same approach in others. Keep the Manager and other appropriate team members informed about project status, field conditions, schedule concerns, and issues that may impact client relations. Maintain flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, or adjusted schedules when required by installations, customer needs, project complexity, or schedule demands.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in Project/Construction Management or Industrial Material Handling fabrication, sales, installation, or a related field. Hands-on experience with industrial installation, field service, construction, or material handling systems strongly preferred. Ability to accurately take field measurements, interpret drawings, verify site conditions, and lay out systems at customer facilities. Ability and willingness to perform hands-on field work and serve as a Lead Installer when required. Experience estimating projects or managing field service/installation personnel. Ability to lead and coordinate installation crews and work effectively with customers, contractors, engineering, design, and internal teams. Ability and willingness to travel frequently to customer facilities and project sites, including overnight travel as required. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment. Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to changing project, field, and schedule demands. Strong multi-tasking, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
