The official title is Project Coordinator / Assistant Project Manager, and that's what's on the paperwork. In practice, you're the person who stays on top of every schedule, every document, and every open item so nothing falls through the cracks. Job Overview Classic Sport Floors is seeking an organized, motivated Project Coordinator / Assistant Project Manager to assist with commercial performance flooring projects from award through completion. This is a hands-on coordination role requiring strong communication, organization, and follow-through. you will work closely with project managers, general contractors, field crews, suppliers, and manufacturers to keep projects on schedule and properly documented. Key Responsibilities Coordinate multiple active construction projects, schedules, deadlines, and job requirements. Communicate with GCs, field crews, suppliers, manufacturers, and office personnel. Prepare and track AIA billing, pay applications, lien waivers, retainage, and final billing. Prepare and manage submittals, RFIs, COIs, SOVs, change-order documentation, and project paperwork. Order materials, issue POs, track lead times, and coordinate deliveries. Confirm jobsite readiness and communicate scheduling changes. Assist with certified payroll, WageHub, compliance requirements, and project reporting. Coordinate punch lists, warranties, closeouts, and final documentation. Assist with bid packages and other preconstruction requirements. Maintain accurate project records and consistently follow up on outstanding items. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience preferred. We are willing to train candidates with a recent degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field. Commercial construction or subcontractor experience is preferred. Familiarity with AIA billing, submittals, RFIs, SOVs, COIs, and construction documentation is a strong plus. We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities from start to finish. This is an office- and field-based position based in West Berlin, NJ. Construction meetings, jobsite visits, bid openings, and trade shows are a required, regular part of this role. Pay:
$52,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
