As a Project Architect supporting construction phase services, you'll play a key role in the successful delivery of a major renovation and new construction project in the Poughkeepsie, New York area. Working alongside a Senior Project Architect and a multidisciplinary team of architects and engineers, you'll help resolve field challenges, support construction administration activities, and facilitate collaboration among the client, contractor, and project stakeholders. This position offers the opportunity to contribute throughout project delivery and, upon successful completion of the project, may transition into a full-time design-focused role. What you'll do Partner with the Senior Project Architect to support construction administration activities and project decision-making. Perform site reviews to validate design intent, assess construction progress, and identify field conditions that may impact project delivery. Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to evaluate and resolve field issues. Participate in owner, architect, and contractor (OAC) meetings and provide project support as needed. Monitor construction progress and support evaluations of work quality and conformance with project requirements. Document and communicate observed deviations, deficiencies, and construction-related issues to the Senior Project Architect. Support review and processing of contractor payment applications. Review and process submittals and requests for information (RFIs), maintaining accurate documentation and tracking logs. Prepare and coordinate design revisions, change documentation, and updated drawing sets in collaboration with the project team. Support substantial completion activities, project closeout, and final documentation efforts. Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related discipline. 7+ years of post-graduate relevant experience. Professional registration as an Architect or active pursuit of licensure, with the expectation of obtaining licensure within one year of employment. OSHA 10 certification. Demonstrated experience supporting construction administration services. Ability to identify and help resolve design, coordination, and construction challenges with appropriate supervision. Solid understanding of construction contract documents and construction contract administration procedures. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with computer applications commonly used during construction and project delivery. Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents and project schedules. Proficiency with Revit for architectural modeling, documentation, and BIM collaboration. Ability to work full-time onsite at the project location five days per week. This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship. Physical requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Ability to see and hear, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to climb and descend step ladders, stairways, and uneven surfaces above and below ground level. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds from ground level, waist level, and overhead. Ability to carry up to 25 pounds for distances of up to 5 yards.
