We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the execution of multiple custom industrial equipment projects valued from $500,000 to $5 million. This individual will own the integrated project schedule and coordinate engineering, controls, purchasing, vendors, assembly, testing, installation, and customer deliverables. The role requires strong OEM project leadership, disciplined communication, and the ability to identify risks and drive timely decisions from order handoff through customer acceptance

Responsibilities:

Lead multiple concurrent custom equipment projects valued from $500,000 to $5 million from order handoff through installation, commissioning, and customer acceptance Develop, maintain, and enforce the integrated master schedule across mechanical engineering, electrical and controls engineering, purchasing, vendors, fabrication, assembly, testing, shipping, installation, and startup Establish milestones, deliverables, owners, dependencies, and required customer inputs at project kickoff Coordinate priorities and resource needs with the Engineering Supervisor and functional leaders; escalate conflicts that threaten cost, schedule, scope, or quality Serve as the primary day-to-day project, schedule, and execution contact for the customer following order handoff, while coordinating account strategy, pricing, contractual changes, and significant customer issues with Sales and the Director of Equipment. Obtain customer information, approvals, specifications, site requirements, and decisions needed to keep work progressing Track project budgets, commitments, forecasts, labor performance, vendor costs, and margin; identify variances and lead recovery actions Monitor billing milestones, customer approvals, documentation requirements, and payment status. Coordinate with Finance, Sales, and the customer to ensure invoices are issued according to the contract and commercial issues are resolved promptly. Identify scope changes promptly, document cost and schedule impacts, and coordinate change-order approval with the Director of Equipment and Sales before committing Godfrey & Wing to work outside the approved scope. Lead project meetings and report clearly on schedule, cost, risks, decisions, and open actions Coordinate vendor deliverables and long-lead purchases to support project milestones Coordinate equipment release, packaging, shipping documentation, rigging requirements, freight, export documentation, for domestic and international projects Complete formal project closeout, including customer acceptance, final documentation, open commercial items, spare-parts opportunities, internal financial review, and lessons learned.

Project & Leadership Expectations:

Own the overall project plan and hold cross-functional contributors accountable to agreed commitments Drive decisions and escalations early enough to protect customer commitments and project margin Partner with the Engineering Supervisor, who retains responsibility for technical direction, engineering standards, and engineering resource development Create accountability through clear commitments, documented actions, timely follow-up, and fact-based escalation rather than relying solely on functional authority

Specific Skills/Requirements:

Proven ability to manage multiple custom equipment or engineered-to-order projects simultaneously Strong command of integrated scheduling, critical-path management, budgeting, forecasting, risk management, and change control Working knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical and controls integration, fabrication, assembly, testing, and field installation Ability to convert technical and customer information into clear actions, owners, dates, and decisions Strong leadership, organization, negotiation, and customer communication skills Proficiency with project scheduling and business systems such as Microsoft Project, ERP/MRP platforms, and

Microsoft Office Minimum Qualifications:

Education :

Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, project management, or a related field; equivalent OEM project experience considered

Experience :

15-20+ years managing multiple concurrent engineered-to-order OEM projects in the $500,000 to $5 million range Experience coordinating engineering, controls, suppliers, manufacturing or assembly, testing, installation, and customer acceptance PMP certification preferred, but not required Ability to travel 15-30%, including occasional international travel The specific statements shown in each section of this description are not intended to be all-inclusive.
