Job description Assistant Project Manager — Elk River Development (80% Remote) Elk River Development, a fast‐growing federal commercial contractor based in the Warrenton, VA area, is expanding — and we're looking for a motivated Assistant Project Manager who's ready to build a long‐term career with a team that values initiative, problem‐solving, and professional growth. What You'll Do You'll support the Project Manager throughout the entire construction lifecycle — from pre‐construction planning to project closeout. As stated in the document, the APM is responsible for " all aspects of the project in the construction phase from pre-construction planning through completion of the project closeout under the direction and oversight of a Project Manager ".
Key responsibilities include:
Project coordination — Assist the PM in all phases of the project and help maintain smooth operations. Problem-solving — Identify issues early and resolve them efficiently. Relationship management — Maintain positive communication with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams. Scheduling support — Help develop and maintain the overall project schedule. Document control — Manage submittal logs, RFIs, meeting minutes, and project documentation. Technical review — Review drawings and specifications to fully understand project scope. Pay:
$50,935.91 - $61,342.17 per year
