Based in DeForest, Wisconsin, with over 40 years of experience, we help contractors and owners deliver commercial projects nationwide — multifamily, hotels, healthcare, schools, retail, and more. Right now, we're looking for an experienced Project Manager who can demonstrate the Initiative and True Grit that customers of all types and sizes have come to expect from Wall-tech. This is a field/project-side PM role: schedule, budget, subcontractors, shop drawings, and GC/owner communication. Cold-formed steel framing experience is desired. A strong commercial construction PM background is required — if that's you, you can learn Wall-tech's systems on the job.
HERE'S HOW YOU'LL BE HELPING THE TEAM
We'll be counting on you to be tightly woven into every stage of the work, from preconstruction planning and value engineering through installation and final close-out.
Critical activities include:
Managing commercial projects from scheduling and resource allocation through delivery and close-out Owning project schedule, budget, and financial management so jobs stay on track and profitable Coordinating shop drawings, submittals, materials, and field install with engineering, the shop, and crews Managing subcontractors and day-to-day jobsite coordination; keeping quality and safety front and center Building and maintaining strong relationships with GCs, owners, architects, and project stakeholders Tracking RFIs, change orders, and progress so nothing slips Performing field observations at construction sites to monitor progress and resolve issues Overseeing cross-functional coordination so projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high standards
DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU?
Required Strong commercial construction Project Manager background (multifamily, hospitality, healthcare, education, retail, or similar) Comfort owning schedule, budget, subcontractors, and GC/owner coordination on active jobsites Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and trade drawings and specifications Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interactions and team coordination Capability to safely navigate active construction sites Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
