Automotive Assembly Line Project Manager (Contract)

Duration:

6-12 Month Contract We are seeking an experienced Automotive Assembly Line Project Engineer to support a major manufacturing project in West Virginia. This role will be responsible for overseeing the procurement, installation, startup, and commissioning of an automotive assembly line. Candidates must have a strong background in automotive manufacturing and hands-on experience leading assembly line implementation projects. This is a fully onsite position. Candidates seeking hybrid or remote work arrangements will not be considered. Contract Job Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the procurement, installation, and setup of automotive assembly line equipment.
• Manage project activities to ensure timelines, budgets, and quality standards are achieved.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, suppliers, and contractors throughout project execution.
• Oversee equipment commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and production readiness activities.
• Support process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and manufacturing standards. Contract Job Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred; Associate's Degree will be considered with relevant experience.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in the automotive industry .
• 2+ years of recent experience overseeing the procurement, installation, and setup of an automotive assembly line.
• Experience managing manufacturing equipment installation and startup projects.
• Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with powertrain assembly lines is highly preferred, but not required.
• Experience working in high-volume automotive manufacturing environments. Additional Requirements
• Must be willing to work 100% onsite in West Virginia .
• Must be able to successfully complete a drug screen and background check .
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
