Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Apartment Manager to oversee the daily operations of residential communities. This role is vital in ensuring exceptional property management, tenant satisfaction, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of property management tools and regulations. As an Apartment Manager, you will lead leasing activities, coordinate maintenance, manage budgets, and foster positive relationships with residents and vendors alike. Your energetic leadership will drive the success of our community and uphold our commitment to quality living environments. Responsibilities Manage all aspects of property leasing, including showing units, processing lease or rental agreements, and upselling available units to prospective tenants. Oversee tenant relations by providing outstanding customer service, addressing concerns promptly, and maintaining positive client communication. Coordinate property maintenance and facilities management to ensure safety, cleanliness, and operational functionality. Utilize property management software such as Yardi and OneSite to perform data entry, filing, and record keeping efficiently. Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, Landlord-Tenant laws, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), Section 8 housing programs, and other legal requirements. Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify maintenance needs and oversee repairs with vendors or in-house teams. Develop and monitor budgets, control expenses, and optimize revenue through effective leasing strategies and upselling techniques. Lead a team of staff members by providing training, conflict management, performance evaluations, and fostering a collaborative work environment. Requirements Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles with familiarity using property management tools like Yardi or OneSite. Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing policies, and contracts management. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle conflict management professionally and diplomatically. Office experience including data entry, filing systems (physical or electronic), Microsoft Office suite proficiency (Word, Excel), and CRM systems. Demonstrated ability in lease or rental agreement management along with negotiation skills for upselling units or services. Experience managing budgets, facilities maintenance coordination, and vendor relationships within a property management setting. Effective communication skills with phone etiquette expertise for client interactions and team collaboration. Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in administrative tasks such as data entry and filing.
