As a Security Officer Residential Full Time Access Control Driver in La Jolla, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a residential community, you will help manage visitor and resident access, verify credentials, monitor entry points, and provide professional customer service. You will help maintain a welcoming environment while supporting security-related operations, communicating clearly with residents and guests, and helping to deter incidents through a visible presence. PM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to residents, guests, visitors, and vendors while carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and vendor access as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor and vehicle activity records. Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders. Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, property concerns, or policy violations. Support a welcoming residential environment by providing directions, answering routine questions, and maintaining a professional presence at the assigned location.
Minimum Requirements:
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Customer service experience is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. A guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
