Job Description

Yosemite Elevated Stays | Local Operations Manager, Yosemite Full-Time | Salaried, Exempt | Serving Oakhurst, Bass Lake, Mariposa, and the Yosemite gateway About Yosemite Elevated Stays Yosemite Elevated Stays is a locally rooted, family-owned vacation rental management company serving the communities at the doorstep of Yosemite National Park, including Oakhurst, Bass Lake, Mariposa, and the surrounding Sierra foothills. We are focused on providing elevated stays for our guests and elevated stewardship for our homeowners. Our goal is to grow in a way that celebrates what makes this region special, its granite and forests, its small-town character, and the people who call it home, while delivering elevated experiences for guests and thoughtful, reliable stewardship for homeowners. Our Elevated Promises Everything we do is guided by our Elevated Promises. They are our operating standard and the way we earn five-star stays and trusted, long-term homeowner partnerships.
Elevated Guest Engagement:
Proactive, elevated hospitality from booking to five-star review. We believe vacations are special, something people save for, plan for, and look forward to. Our job is to make every stay feel seamless and memorable. We anticipate needs, communicate early, check in during the stay, and resolve issues quickly with warmth and care.
Elevated Home Stewardship:
We care for every home as if it were our own. We operate with a proactive mindset of quality, consistency, and pride. Weekly home checks, rigorous cleaning standards, quality control, seasonal readiness, and preventive maintenance are all part of how we ensure every property is clean, protected, and presentation ready, for guests and for homeowners.
Elevated Homeowner Partnerships:
We treat each home like our own investment.
Every homeowner has different goals:
maximizing revenue, balancing personal use, focusing on long-term appreciation, or simply enjoying peace of mind. Our role is to be a true partner in those goals, not simply a property manager. Through regular business reviews, thoughtful design and amenity recommendations, revenue and pricing insights, and brand-building support, we help each property reach its highest potential. The Role The Local Operations Manager is a player-coach who leads our Yosemite field operation from inside the homes. You will be in our homes every day, walking turnovers with housekeepers, checking work as it happens, coordinating property caretakers and maintenance vendors, and jumping in yourself when a home needs to be ready. You are the person who makes sure every home is clean, working, stocked, and guest ready on time, and who builds a field team that can do the same. You lead by example, set the standard with your own work, and coach the team to meet it.
Reports to:
General Manager, Yosemite. A Typical Day Start the morning reviewing the day's check-outs, check-ins, and same-day turns in Breezeway, and assign housekeepers and caretakers.
Head out to homes:
walk turnovers with housekeepers, spot-check cleaning, and train on standards in the moment. Meet a caretaker or vendor at a home to look at a repair, confirm the plan, and make sure it gets done. Jump in on a tight same-day turn to help clean, make beds, or restock so the home is ready for arrival. Inspect homes before guests arrive and fix or flag anything that is not right. Close the day by checking open work orders, confirming tomorrow's schedule, and approving team timecards. What You Will Do Lead Housekeeping in the Field Build and adjust the daily turnover schedule, matching housekeepers and linen specialists to the day's workload. Work alongside housekeepers in homes, coaching on cleaning, staging, and presentation standards as the work happens. Adjust in real time for call-outs, late check-outs, early arrivals, weather, and road conditions. Keep linens, cleaning supplies, and guest amenities stocked across the market. Coordinate Maintenance and Property Care Direct our property caretakers' daily work, including home checks, preventive maintenance, hot tub care, and seasonal tasks. Schedule and meet local vendors and trades at homes, confirm the scope, and verify work is completed to our standards. Keep Breezeway work orders clear, assigned, prioritized, and closed out. Coordinate seasonal readiness in the field, including winterization, snow and ice response, and wildfire season preparation. Hands-On in the Homes Personally inspect homes before guest arrivals and after repairs. Help clean, turn, and restock homes when staffing is short or demand is high. Handle quick fixes and troubleshooting on the spot, such as bulbs, batteries, smart locks, and minor hardware. Set up and prepare new homes for their first guests. Respond to urgent home and guest issues in the field, and participate in an on-call rotation. Coach and Develop the Team Directly supervise our local housekeepers, linen specialists, and property caretakers. Train new team members hands-on in the homes, and coach the team on recurring quality issues from inspections and guest reviews. Partner with our remote Guest Experience team so field issues are handed off and resolved quickly. What You Bring 2+ years of hands-on experience in housekeeping, turnover operations, property maintenance, or vacation rental or hotel operations. At least 1 year leading or supervising a field team, such as a housekeeping lead, crew lead, or maintenance supervisor.
A player-coach mindset:
you would rather show someone how it is done than tell them from a desk. A sharp eye for cleanliness, presentation, and detail, and the ability to spot what is off in a home quickly. Practical maintenance know-how and comfort coordinating trades and vendors. Strong organization and calm under pressure when the schedule changes by the hour. Comfort using a smartphone and apps all day. Experience with Breezeway, Guesty, or similar tools is a plus. A valid driver's license, a reliable vehicle, and the ability to drive between homes across the market every day, including mountain roads in winter conditions. Availability for weekends, holidays, peak seasons, and an on-call rotation. Nice to Have Knowledge of the Yosemite gateway communities. Hot tub maintenance experience. Bilingual in English and Spanish. Physical Requirements This role is in the field every day. It involves cleaning and preparing homes (bending, kneeling, reaching, making beds), climbing stairs and ladders, walking properties and working outdoors in all seasons, driving between homes throughout the day, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations will be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the role.
