Darwin T. Lynner Company is seeking candidates for the position of Onsite Property Manager for Vinton & West Vinton Park Apartments in Vinton, Iowa. This is a full-time position with benefits. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Preference will be given to applicants with a related field and/or equivalent experience in a related field. Knowledge of HUD requirements, housing certifications, and knowledge of contract bidding are a plus. Salary is negotiable depending on experience. Vinton and West Vinton Apartments are both a 36-unit—each (72 units total) HUD Section 8 Family Housing properties serving low-income tenants. Duties will include day-to-day operations of the agency, managing 72 low-rent apartments, enforcing and implementing all requirements set forth by HUD and the agency, maintaining office and maintenance departments, tenant files, applicant files, supervision and direction of onsite staff, and contractors, monthly accounting, leasing of units, monthly payroll and quarterly reports, and bidding contracts. Computer knowledge is a must. Employment is contingent upon passing a background check and drug test. An applicant is to live within a reasonable distance for quick response in case of emergency.
