Job Description
President & Chief Executive Officer Owen Electric Cooperative Owenton, Kentucky The Board of Directors of Owen Electric Cooperative invites applications for the position of President & Chief Executive Officer. Owen Electric is one of the nation's largest consumer-owned electric distribution cooperatives, serving approximately 190,000 Kentuckians on a network of more than 4,700 miles of power lines in the nine North-Central Kentucky counties. The Cooperative has offices in three counties and is a nonprofit enterprise, owned and operated by and for the benefit of its nearly 70,000 account s . All applicants should have a proven track record of successful management with strong business skills and a minimum of 5 years of management experience at the senior level in the electric utility industry. Cooperative experience is a plus. Knowledge in the areas of strategic planning, board relations, rate issues and member relations are required. A bachelor's degree is required. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and personnel/people skills, and must be willing to relocate to Owen Electric's service territory. The cooperative headquarters is located in Owenton, Owen County, Kentucky. Located in the middle of the "Golden Triangle" of Northern Kentucky-Cincinnati, Georgetown-Lexington and Louisville. Owenton offers quick access to entertainment, professional sports and art in these nationally ranked urban cities. Less than a 45-minute drive from the CVG International airport.
