Job Description

Position Summary :
Oversee the clinical, financial and administrative operations of the assigned residential living house. Ensure proper standards and regulations are adhered to as set forth by the funding source. Ensure the individuals living in the house are provided optimum support and necessary care. Manage house staff to provide this support.
Essential Job Function :
Direct and manage the activities of program staff: hire staff, schedule and utilize staff appropriately and with the goal of optimizing individual support as well as operational and financial goals. Provide supervision and direction to program staff regarding treatment/support plans and interventions, including rehabilitation strategies and techniques. Manage staff performance by providing documented and informal direction, coaching, and training. Schedule nursing and direct care staff to provide appropriate coverage and support 24-hour a day, 7-days a week. Ensure the intake of prospective individuals is completed in a timely and thorough manner. Conduct initial assessment of prospective individuals for program appropriateness; arrange and perform intake procedures. Complete comprehensive assessment for persons served. Participate and/or facilitate internal and external meetings regarding treatment/support planning as required or necessary. Provide outreach and create an environment in which family, friends and established relationships of the person served may be fostered. Facilitate problem resolution for staff and for persons served. Responsible for the quality and timely completion of all clinical, recordkeeping and service/support action plans and necessary documentation for all persons served. Ensure compliance with all internal quality and external licensing, certification, and accreditation standards and regulations, as well as program specific policies and procedures. Manage and report adverse events (including but not limited to medication occurrences, physical restraints, or other critical incidents), including thorough documentation and follow through for al events. Ensure plans of correction are implemented as appropriate. Provide on-call backup and on-site support when necessary. In partnership with MAP supervisor or consultant, ensure the storage, administering, documentation and disposal of medications for persons served is compliant with MAP requirement and standards, funding source regulations and agency policy.
Other Job Functions :
Contribute to the overall positive morale of the program. Demonstrate conduct in keeping with The Arc of Greater Plymouth's Ethical Code of Conduct. Demonstrate professionalism and commitment to teamwork at all times. Attends all mandatory in-services, safety training and annual trainings. Perform all other duties as assigned. Requirements (Knowledge and Critical Skills) : Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to manage a diverse staff in a 24-hour residential setting. Exceptional organizational and time management skills. Success developing positive therapeutic and working relationships with diverse stakeholders. Ability to assess problem situations to identify causes, gather information and act appropriately. Valid driver's license with clean driving record. Knowledge of program management and of individuals with acquired brain injuries.
Qualifications :
Education:
College degree strongly preferred.
Experience:
5 years of experience working in human services or allied health. 2 years of supervisory experience.
Certifications:
MAP (Medication Certification Process) required (in house training provided).
Working Conditions:
Residential home setting. Occasional community outings
