Faulkner Tower is a 130-unit elderly apartment community located in Somerville, MA. Join a company with more than 50 years of experience dedicated to employee growth, development, and retention. About the Position The Property Manager is responsible for the overall day-to-day management of the community, including staff supervision, resident relations, financial management, compliance, and property operations. Key Responsibilities Supervise, train, and support all property staff in accordance with company policies and procedures. Provide ongoing performance feedback and conduct annual employee performance reviews. Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, prospective residents, vendors, employees, and the surrounding community. Respond to and follow up on resident concerns and complaints in a timely and professional manner. Oversee rent calculations, rent collections, delinquency notices, and related legal actions when necessary. Manage subsidy collections and resolve collection-related issues. Oversee and/or assist with annual and interim resident recertifications. Ensure all recertifications are completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with company policies and applicable state and federal regulations. Develop, manage, and adhere to the property's annual budget. Complete required annual inspections and monthly reports. Ensure the property operates efficiently while maintaining compliance with applicable housing regulations and company standards. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as needed to support the property and residents. Qualifications 3+ years of multifamily property management experience required. Strong working knowledge of Section 8. COS and ARM designation preferred. Demonstrated ability to supervise, motivate, and develop property management staff. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Strong customer-service and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Previous Yardi experience is a plus. Why Schochet?
