Reporting to the Senior Director, the Community Health and Nutrition Manager is responsible for the execution of CFBNJ's food and health strategy which includes the implementation, management, and expansion of community health and nutrition programming. This role oversees CFBNJ's Food is Medicine (FiM) programming and Nutrition Policy work, while supporting the development of new and existing healthcare and pantry network partnerships and programs to advance access to foods tailored to meet health needs. What you'll do in your role: Lead CFBNJ's Food is Medicine (FiM) program planning, implementation, evaluation and associated grant requirements. Oversee FiM program services including medically tailored groceries, medically tailored meals, produce prescriptions, food farmacies and other healthcare-linked programs designed to reach neighbors with diet-related chronic diseases. Develop and review product selections, menus, and recipes for FiM programs to ensure they align with program-specific nutrition requirements. Translate nutrition requirements into practical specifications to be implemented through CFBNJ's food sourcing operations. Identify opportunities to expand FiM programming through healthcare partnerships, grants, and other funding models. Oversee ongoing organization-wide Nutrition Policy implementation. Monitor nutrition ranking inventory trends and provide nutrition expertise and guidance to the Food Sourcing team to identify opportunities to increase access to foods that align with CFBNJ's nutrition standards. Oversee the development of Nutrition Policy training opportunities for our network of partners and collaborate with the Engagement and Fulfillment teams on implementation.s Support the Senior Director in working closely with CFBNJ's Resource Development team to secure program funding, and Finance team in maintaining accurate programmatic financial accounting and required reports. Build and maintain strategic partnerships, including statewide alliances, hospitals and healthcare locations, etc., to promote and expand CFBNJ's suite of community nutrition programs to reach limited resourced, food insecure individuals. Support the design and implementation of a comprehensive dietetic internship program to expand CFBNJ's ability to support and achieve priority community nutrition goals. Proactively work with internal teams to ensure community health and nutrition strategies are integrated into program development, marketing and communications, advocacy, and healthcare quality improvement activities. What you'll need to be successful in this role: 3-5 years of experience in leading a community outreach team where program management and/or project management was required. 1-3 years of supervisory experience preferred. Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science/Dietetics or related field Registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) credential required Bi-lingual language skills is a plus. Demonstrated experience establishing and/or expanding nutrition programs with a large population and/or statewide focus and associated federal or state budget oversight and grants management/reporting. Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations (e.g., African-American, Hispanic, senior and youth communities) Demonstrated experience working in the areas of food insecurity, diet-related chronic diseases, or public health Demonstrated capability to effectively work internally and externally, communicating in a manner in accordance with the spirit of CFBNJ's mission and commitment to reflect and uphold CFBNJ's core values and dedication to continuous improvement. Experience working in or collaborating with healthcare institutions preferred Ability to have a varied work schedule that includes nights and weekends to meet the scheduling needs of partnering organizations. Must possess personal vehicle and valid driver's license Technical aptitude with MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and ability to utilize data management systems are essential for success. Able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team and with all levels in the organization. Detailed oriented; strong time management. Following hiring, must successfully complete and stay up to date with ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certificate.

Pay Transparency:

The salary range for this position is $62,341

  • 84,344.

The final rate may be influenced by factors such as the position's scope and responsibilities, work experience, training, job-related skills, internal equity, and market conditions.
