Job Description

Northern New Jersey-based, SEC-registered registered investment adviser with over $1 billion in enterprise value across a family of funds. Founded in 2008, the firm is a vertically integrated private equity real estate organization responsible for the acquisition, management, and development of commercial properties across multiple markets. The firm is seeking a Office Building Technician to oversee the day-to-day operations of a two office property located in Bergen County, New Jersey (Ridgefield Park). This role works under the direct supervision and mentorship of management and represents an early-career opportunity with potential for growth and expanded responsibilities. Prior experience in commercial real estate is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily commercial property operations. Support tenant improvements, capital projects, and coordination of property-based personnel. Provide regular property status updates to management. Collaborate with the accounting team on invoice review and processing. Perform routine light maintenance and repairs across building systems. Coordinate and oversee third-party contractors for routine and ad hoc maintenance projects. Assess property conditions and assist with year-end maintenance budgeting. Assist in developing and tracking project schedules. Communicate with tenants, including the delivery of landlord updates and notices.
Qualifications:
High school diploma required; trade or technical school training is a plus. Minimum of two years of experience in commercial building maintenance. Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle. Ability to work on-site at a properties in Ridgefield Park. Willingness to travel to other properties in Northern New Jersey, Connecticut, and New York City as needed. Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook.
Compensation and Benefits:
Base salary starting at $90,000 plus annual bonus. The firm offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, life insurance, a 401(k), paid holidays, paid time off, and additional benefits.
