Job Overview Join our team as a Part-time Leasing Assistant at a vibrant apartment community! Responsibilities Greet prospective tenants warmly, answer questions about available units, and provide detailed property information to facilitate leasing decisions. Assist with the preparation, review, and management of lease agreements, rental contracts, and lease renewals using property management tools such as Yardi and OneSite. Support the leasing process by conducting property tours, upselling available units, and promoting community amenities to maximize occupancy rates. Maintain accurate data entry of applicant information, lease details, and client communications within property management systems. Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure property upkeep aligns with leasing schedules and resident needs. Assist in managing Section 8 and LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) programs by ensuring compliance with relevant regulations such as Fair Housing laws and Landlord-Tenant Law. Handle client communication professionally via phone, email, and in person while practicing excellent office etiquette. Support conflict management efforts by addressing resident concerns promptly and professionally while maintaining positive relationships. Contribute to budgeting activities related to leasing operations and property management expenses. Organize filing systems for legal documents, contracts, and maintenance records to ensure easy access and compliance. This position requires a tremendous amount of walking and climbing stairs. Experience Familiarity with property management software such as Yardi. Knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 housing programs, LIHTC compliance, and facilities management enhances your effectiveness in this role. Proven customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly via phone and written correspondence are required. Experience in lease or rental agreement management, conflict resolution, negotiation techniques, and upselling strategies is advantageous. Office experience involving data entry, filing systems, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), and client relationship management tools will support your success. Strong organizational skills combined with an understanding of property maintenance processes will help ensure smooth operations. Pay:
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 16.0 - 20.0 per week
