RTF/CRP/ CRR/PCH ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Leadership:
Ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centered psychiatric care and trauma-informed treatment. Oversee medication management, therapeutic environments, and crisis intervention protocols.
Staff Management:
Handle recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, mentoring, and performance evaluations for registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs), and direct care staff.
Regulatory Compliance:
Maintain adherence to state and federal healthcare regulations, accreditation standards (such as The Joint Commission), and safety policies regarding restraint and seclusion.
Quality & Operations:
Monitor incident reports, track clinical quality outcomes, manage department productivity, and collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
Licensure:
Current, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the practicing state.
Experience:
3 to 5 years of behavioral health nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a progressive leadership, supervisory, or charge nurse role.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certifications; specialty credentials like Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing (PMH-BC) are often preferred.
