Program Manager About Family Promise of Colorado Springs:
The mission of Family Promise of Colorado Springs is to provide safe, compassionate aid for children and their families who are situationally unhoused. We work cooperatively within our network and the community to offer support and tools so that families can be housed together and move towards independence. Family Promise's primary goal is to empower families with children to permanently transition into independent affordable housing.
Program Manager Responsibilities & Duties:
Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the Prevention and Diversion Program, the Temporary Shelter Program, and the Safe Parking Program (pending launch), ensuring each program operates in alignment with the Agency's mission, policies, and funder requirements.
Lead the planning and launch of the Safe Parking Program, including development of program procedures and coordination with community partners.
Monitor program performance and outcomes across all three programs and report on progress to the Director of Family Services.
Assess clients' needs, situations, and support networks to determine their goals.
Develop and implement care plans to improve clients' housing and financial position during their 90-day term with FPCOS.
Develop and implement a case management plan to improve clients' housing and financial position while receiving assistance from the Agency's prevention program.
Provide advocacy and emotional support to client families through proactive case management.
Advocate for clients to obtain resources and services that improve their immediate and intermediate housing position.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of client interactions in HMIS and any other relevant casework systems.
Collaborate with city, county, and state housing and DHS officials to coordinate care for client families.
Assess and assist clients in crises and provide any appropriate intervention services.
Monitor and document clients' progress every week and adjust care plans as needed.
Educate client families about available resources and services upon graduation. This position reports to the Director of Family Services. Program Manager Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's Degree preferred
Previous experience in social work or human services. Work specifically within family services and housing preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Familiarity with community resources and services, particularly relating to housing and family services
Ability to handle high-stress situations effectively
Proficiency in using social work software and tools
Excellent communication and listening skills
Empathy and the ability to build rapport with clients
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Hours and Compensation:
This is a full-time, exempt position.
The annual compensation for this position is $57,000.
Bilingual pay differential, DOE
Unlimited personal time off (with manager approval), in addition to recognized federal holidays.
