Whether it's working with government agencies to create flexible policies that meet the needs of survivors, advocating with elected officials to strengthen state and federal laws, or launching training and public awareness initiatives to inform individuals and communities about the help we offer, we're at the center of efforts to improve Connecticut's response to domestic violence.
Position Description:
The Manager of Housing Advocacy will offer oversight and ongoing coordination of the CT Domestic Violence / Human Trafficking Rapid Rehousing statewide project for victims/survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking. This individual will lead and facilitate case management and support services provided by subcontracted domestic violence, human trafficking and housing organizations. This individual will also enhance domestic violence and housing advocacy in areas which impact economic justice, economic empowerment and housing sustainability to survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking throughout the State of Connecticut.
Specific Responsibilities:
Systemic Collaboration Manage all day-to-day aspects of the RRH program to meet the overall program goals and objectives, in close collaboration with the Director of Housing Advocacy including, but not limited to: Tracking referrals Assisting with Coordinated Entry Designing, tracking, and analyzing program surveys Ensuring documentation is current and used accurately by all subcontractors Provide technical assistance to Member Organizations on a HMIS comparable database- EmpowerDB Facilitating ongoing data collection and data integrity training Represent CCADV on statewide and regional housing groups; such as CAN, CoC, and Housing Solutions meetings, to represent the needs of and speak on behalf of the unique considerations for victims of domestic violence in relation to housing such as survivor confidentiality Ensure that domestic violence, human trafficking and housing advocates have a demonstrated knowledge of the
CT DV/HT RRH
project and its policies, procedures and reporting requirements Maintain a working knowledge of services and supports available within the State of Connecticut's Homeless Delivery System Engaging people with lived expertise in the work Attend CAN Housing and Case Collaboration meetings and other community and funder meetings as needed. Complete State and Federal reports as required Compile data for required reports Prepare for funder and internal audits. Other related duties as assigned. Training and Technical Assistance Coordinate RRH Case Conferencing opportunities and one-on-one technical assistance support for DV/HT advocates and housing specialists; Support ongoing training and technical assistance to CT Safe Connect; Administration Work with subcontracted programs to ensure timely submission of personnel activity reports, time sheets, and other documentation required as part of their agreed upon subcontract Provide support to the annual contract monitoring and auditing processes Serve as staff liaison between CT Safe Connect, CT Safe Connect Housing Cohort, and the Director of Housing to provide housing support and technical assistance. Other Activities Work collaboratively with other CCADV staff and actively participate in the daily operations of CCADV Works collaboratively with member organizations and builds strong, positive relationships. Builds effective, cooperative, positive relationships with co-workers and stakeholders Takes initiative and/or independent action to ensure work responsibilities are carried out fully and completely Adapts to changing job priorities in CCADV's needs. Remains open to new ideas and developing new skills as needed. Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able show strengths in each essential duty satisfactorily including: Must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree and relevant experience around victim safety and housing access as it relates to serving victims of domestic violence Any equivalent combination of education and experience is also acceptable A minimum of one year of rapid rehousing experience Must have experience in collaboration with diverse groups and individuals Must have strong critical thinking, organizational, communication, training and writing skills Valid Driver's license with a good driving record and reliable transportation. Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to CCADV's mission, as well as, understanding of issues related to domestic violence Excellent organizational and time management skills. Understanding of housing subsidies (including but not limited to Rapid Rehousing, Permanent Supportive Housing, voucher programs). Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and

Compensation Range:
