Job Description
The Program Director provides overall leadership and oversight for the Youth Screening Program across two assigned counties. The Program Director ensures consistent quality of service, staff performance, compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements, and program alignment with agency goals. This position manages all personnel matters, oversees staff supervision and training, and coordinates scheduling and timekeeping for all program staff. •This position is between the hours of 8am-5pm •Position location is in Pinellas but travel to our Pasco county JAC is required We are looking for a Program Director who must have: Bachelor's degree in human services, social work, criminology, or a closely related field required. Master's degree from an accredited college or university preferred At least five (5) years of experience in Juvenile Justice, social services, or a related human services field, including at least two (2) years of progressive supervisory or program management experience. Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License and Auto Insurance coverage.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensures adherence to DJJ standards, agency policies, and all contractual requirements. Coordinates communication and collaboration between assigned Juvenile Assessment Center/screening teams. Conducts regular supervisory meetings and provides coaching and support to Shift Supervisors. Reviews staff performance feedback provided by Shift Supervisors and incorporates input into evaluations and development plans. Ensures timely submission of required reports, data, and quality assurance documentation. Provides direct oversight of all training functions, including onboarding, refresher, and compliance-based instruction. Collaborates with agency leadership to develop and implement program improvement initiatives. Attends required meetings, trainings, and leadership sessions. Performs other related duties as assigned.
