CIVIL SPECIALIST

Join a professional team dedicated to serving the citizens of Kootenai County. This position is available in October of 2026.

THE POSITION

Civil Specialists are non-uniformed, non-certified sworn members of the Sheriff's Office whose primary responsibility is the execution of civil processes and mandates of the courts. This is a specialized field requiring knowledge of legal procedures, terminology and interpretation of legal documents. Compensation & Benefits

Hourly Wage:

$22.07 - $26.20 (DOE)

Retirement:

PERSI (Public Employees Retirement System of Idaho) 5-year vesting Lifetime payout upon retirement

enjoy working in a fast-paced environment while assisting the public have the ability to multitask while demonstrating accuracy, and an attention to detail are able to read and interpret court documents

DO YOU QUALIFY?

Do you have at least an associate's degree or applied associate's degree or Certification from an accredited two-year college or professional/technical school or program and a minimum 1 (one) year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience
