Rock Island YMCA

Branch Executive

Job Description

As the staff leader of the Rock Island YMCA (located in a unique, shared-use facility alongside the Rock Island Public Library) the Branch Executive is the driving force behind our local impact. This dynamic leader will champion an exceptional membership experience and oversee high-quality programming across youth, sports, aquatics, wellness, and childcare. Beyond day-to-day operations like budget development, facility scheduling, and risk management, this role is a community catalyst. The Executive will actively guide community partnerships, empower and engage the branch advisory board, and spearhead localized fundraising efforts to fuel our mission. We need a proven leader fluent in YMCA best practices who is ready to take ownership and accelerate our growth.
Qualifications:
Ability to direct total operations through volunteer development, supervision of staff, development and monitoring of branch budget, marketing and public relations, and program development. Three years of program-membership experience with direct supervision of multiple levels of staff. Previous experience supervising minimum budget of $250,000 preferred. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community. Oral and written multilingual abilities preferred. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. Ability to calculate budgets and analyze financial statements and financial reports. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from members and non-members of the YMCA or members of the business community. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
