Job Summary Barber County is seeking a Communications Director to manage and oversee the Barber County Emergency Communications Center operations and personnel. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day to day operations in dispatch
• Maintain adequate staff and manage department scheduling and training
• Review and maintain all certification and training files
• Responsible for department compliance with the policies, procedures, rules and regulations of NCIC, KCJIS, CJIS, KDOR, and NLETS
• Manage departmental budget and expenditures
• Develop and implement departmental policies and protocols Required Qualifications
• Possess considerable knowledge of the equipment, procedures, and systems used in public safety telecommunications
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding employee and law enforcement matters
• Ability to think clearly and remain calm during stressful situations while selecting a logical, proficient, and tactical course of action Preferred Qualifications
• Previous supervisory experience
