NOTICE OF POSTING OF VACANCY POSITION

Township of Wall- Director of Public Works Seeking a customer oriented, experienced professional to supervise all phases of the Township's Public Works Department consisting of 50+ unionized employees, including water and sewer utilities, fleet maintenance, public buildings and grounds and road maintenance. The Department also manages the household garbage and recycling operations throughout the Township through automated trucks and associated equipment. The successful candidate must have combination of excellent verbal and written communication skills, capital planning experience, department budget preparation, personnel management skills, comfort with basic computer functions and labor relations. Maintain cooperative relationships with Township officials, employees, contractors, the general public and State/County officials. Must be able to analyze, evaluate and implement municipal public works and solid waste programs/projects. At least 10 years experience in municipal public works or similar activities, 5 years of which should be in a progressively responsible supervisory capacity. The Township of Wall is 32 square miles and prides itself in its open space and recreational facilities including approximately 7.2 miles of paved municipal bike/ walking path. Licenses/ Certifications required:

CDL, Certified Public Works Manager Licenses/ Certifications preferred and/or to be obtained within one (1) year: Pesticide Operator, Compost Operator, Clean Communities Coordinator, DER- Designated Employer Representative, Certified Fertilizer Applicator, Recycling Coordinator. License or experience with water and sewer utilities management is a plus.

Salary Range:
