You bring the fundamentals, and we will teach you our issues, our clients, and the way Cahill works. You need strong writing skills and the ability to make complex policy clear on the page. You should think critically and look at the whole picture instead of just the piece in front of you. When the obvious approach won't work, you find another way in, and you can get up to speed on an unfamiliar issue fast. A key part of this job is advocacy on behalf of clients. You should be able to write and speak persuasively on positions you may not personally hold, because the client's interests come first.
