The HHC acts as the Collaborative Applicant, Homeless Management Information System and Coordinated Entry Lead for the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) Continuum of Care (CoC) for Onondaga, Cayuga, and Oswego counties. Position Summary The Housing Services Coordinator will lead activities on behalf of the Housing Services team at the Housing & Homeless Coalition. Within the Housing Services department, is the
CNY CHANCE
project which serves Onondaga County. CHANCE, or Centralized Housing Assistance and Network for Community Engagement, is an initiative to centralize housing services including but not limited to property owner/manager engagement, maintaining an affordable housing database through Padmission, and the facilitation of increased exits to safe, affordable housing for families experiencing homelessness. This position will lead the above-mentioned activities and will supervise the CHANCE team.

Exempt, full time, 37.5 hours/week
Salary Range:
$60,500 to $72,500 Responsibilities
Conduct landlord engagement and maintain a portfolio of active properties that have no rental restrictions
Network and outreach to landlord associations
Build strong relationships with private and non-profit property owners, housing providers, community agency partners, and funders
Facilitate partnerships between property owners and Continuum of Care housing providers
Develop a full understanding of HUD regulations to provide supportive consulting services to new property owners
Oversee project management of the internal CHANCE team and external contracted tenant navigators including but not limited to: documentation, data quality, eligibility requirements, and ensure policies and procedures are maintained
Any other relevant duties or responsibilities assigned Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and experience working in housing and/or homelessness preferred Experience and demonstrated skills in organization and management of multiple projects simultaneously with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
Proven ability to work with individuals from all levels and backgrounds; recognizes and values diversity; process information with consideration for cultural sensitivities. Proficient with MS Windows Office Suite; must have the ability to learn new and/or customized software.
