Job Description

The City of Madeira, Ohio, is seeking an experienced, strategic, and forward-thinking professional to serve as its next City Manager. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative leader who can build on Madeira's strong foundation while preparing the community for future opportunities and challenges. The City Manager will oversee daily municipal operations while advancing City Council's vision for responsible growth, economic development, fiscal stewardship, and exceptional public service. Madeira is a highly regarded community with engaged residents, strong municipal services, and a commitment to thoughtful growth. KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Lead with integrity, transparency, professionalism, and accountability. Demonstrate strong management, financial, and analytical skills. Build effective relationships with City Council, employees, residents, businesses, and regional partners. Bring creativity and innovation to community challenges and opportunities. Be an engaged, visible leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in public administration, political science, business administration, or a related field; master's degree preferred. Credentialed Manager designation preferred. Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in municipal government, including at least three years of significant management experience. Progressive experience in municipal operations, economic development, finance, or related areas preferred.
EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS
