Director of Practical Nursing Career Technology Center of Lackawanna County | Scranton, PA | Full-Time About the Role The Career Technology Center of Lackawanna County (CTCLC) is looking for an experienced nurse leader to direct our Practical Nursing Program. Our program was founded in 1967. It is approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing, accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and has a long record of strong

pass rates and graduate job placement. Our current Director is retiring, and we are seeking a leader who will build on that success. The Director of Practical Nursing serves as the program's nurse administrator. The Director reports to the Director of Career & Technical Education and is responsible for the program's operation, educational quality, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities Recruit, supervise, evaluate, and support the development of Practical Nursing faculty and staff Prepare faculty schedules, teaching assignments, and clinical rotations Oversee student recruitment, admissions, retention, and records Ensure compliance with PA State Board of Nursing regulations and ACEN standards, including accreditation self-study and site visits Monitor

pass rates, completion, and job placement outcomes Lead curriculum development aligned with the current
NCLEX-PN
test plan Build and maintain clinical partnerships with area health care agencies Oversee the skills and simulation lab Prepare and manage the annual program budget Work with the Financial Aid Officer and Business Office on Title IV compliance Chair program committees, serve on the CTCLC Administrative Team, and teach as needed Qualifications Current, unrestricted Pennsylvania RN license Master's Degree in Nursing required (Administration or Education focus preferred) At least 5 years of experience in nursing education, preferably in a Practical Nursing program Experience in clinical nursing practice and in educational administration or leadership Credentials must be approved by the
Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing Preferred:
ACEN accreditation experience, NCLEX-PN preparation experience, and CNE certification Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and computer skills Current Act 24, 34, 114, and 151 clearances (dated within the past year) and Act 168 Disclosure Releases Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
