Job Summary Riveer is seeking a Purchasing Assistant to support daily purchasing activities, maintain vendor relationships, and keep accurate records of all materials and supplies. This position plays a vital role in ensuring our production and service teams have the parts and materials they need to deliver high-quality equipment on time. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Prepare and process purchase orders for raw materials, parts, and supplies. Ensure orders received are accurate Communicate with vendors to request quotes, confirm pricing, and track deliveries Maintain accurate purchasing and vendor records within the ERP system Monitor inventory levels and assist in replenishment to prevent shortages Follow up on open orders and resolve delivery or quality issues with suppliers Assist with invoice matching and coordination with accounting for timely payment Provide general administrative support as needed Qualifications 1-2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or clerical/administrative support (manufacturing environment preferred) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Good written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Experience using ERP or MRP systems (Epicor preferred) Knowledge of basic purchasing processes, vendor management, or inventory practices Physical Demands This position requires the ability to frequently lift with arms and hands, as well as to stand, twist, bend, walk, and sit This position requires the ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and, on occasion, lift and/or move up to 75 pounds with assistance This vision abilities required by this position include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus Reasonable accommodations may be made to individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions Work Environment Noise level is moderate to loud Exposure to both hot and cold temperatures What We Offer Weekly pay Medical, dental, and vision insurance, Riveer pays 75% of premium Simple IRA with company match Paid time off and holidays Free lunch provided every Thursday This job description contains information about the key responsibilities of this position.
