Our client is seeking a driven Purchasing Assistant Manager to lead strategic purchasing, strengthen supplier partnerships, and bring critical production components closer to home. This is an opportunity to influence sourcing decisions, support production goals, and help drive supply chain performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Compensation:

$75,000-$85,000 salary PLUS Overtime compensation based on hours worked!

What You'll Be Doing:

Lead purchasing activities, including budgeting, supplier selection, purchase orders, and follow-up. Negotiate supplier pricing, terms, and conditions. Identify and develop local suppliers, including sourcing opportunities across the U.S., Mexico, and Canada. Monitor supplier performance, production capability, and quality. Maintain country-of-origin records and support U.S. customs and USMCA traceability requirements. Manage material pricing records, SAP reconciliations, overseas inventory, and vendor statements. Coordinate engineering changes, PPAP activities, and cross-functional production support. What You'll Need to be

Considered:

Four-year degree required Experience with U.S. customs regulations and purchasing systems. Automotive purchasing or supply chain experience, ideally in Tier-1 manufacturing. Knowledge of localization, supplier negotiations, and USMCA requirements. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook. SAP, VAATZ, CAD, or a relevant master's degree preferred.
