In this vital role, you will coordinate patient appointments, manage scheduling workflows, and ensure seamless communication between patients, providers, and administrative staff. Your expertise will help optimize clinic operations, improve patient experience, and uphold the highest standards of clinical confidentiality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to quality healthcare delivery through efficient scheduling and administrative support. Responsibilities Schedule patient appointments accurately in eClinicalWorks Confirm patient insurance coverage, verify eligibility, and facilitate pre-authorizations for procedures and treatments. Manage appointment changes, cancellations, and rescheduling requests with professionalism and promptness. Review medical documentation for completeness and accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies. Assist with patient intake processes by collecting essential information and updating electronic health records (EHR systems). Coordinate with healthcare providers to optimize daily schedules and minimize appointment conflicts. Maintain detailed records of scheduling activities, patient interactions, and care plans using Microsoft Office tools and specialized medical office management software. Requirements Proven experience in medical scheduling within a clinical or healthcare setting; clinic experience is highly preferred. Familiarity with eClinicalWorks is essential. Strong understanding of medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding standards, and health insurance processes including Medicare. Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing accuracy (10 key typing). Exceptional customer service skills combined with phone etiquette and effective communication abilities. Ability to review medical documentation thoroughly while maintaining strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines. Bilingual skills are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Previous office or clerical experience in a healthcare environment is preferred; dental clinic experience is a bonus. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Pay:
