Barobo is seeking a hands-on Production & Operations Coordinator to join our team at our production office in Davis, California. The Production & Operations Coordinator will oversee day-to-day production and operational activities, including robot production, quality control, supply chain and component sourcing, inventory management, packaging, order fulfillment and shipping, RMA processing, and related operational and accounting activities. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, technically inclined, and comfortable working across multiple functions in a growing company. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys solving practical problems, improving processes, working with both people and products, and helping scale production operations. Experience or training in mechanical, industrial, electrical, manufacturing, or related technical areas is valuable but a college degree is not required.

This is not a remote or hybrid position. Candidates must live within reasonable commuting distance of Davis, CA, where Barobo's main office is located, or be willing to relocate. Applicants must be US citizens. Responsibilities Oversee production of Barobo products and coordinate order fulfillment using CRM, inventory, and accounting systems. Work with the supervisor to develop and maintain an effective supply chain management system, monitor inventory and component stock levels, and address potential shortages. Coordinate sourcing and purchasing of components, materials, packaging, and other production supplies. Manage quality control processes and identify, document, and resolve production defects and inefficiencies. Collaborate on mechanical and technical aspects of production and provide input on product design modifications and improvements. Troubleshoot production, assembly, mechanical, and basic electrical issues as needed. Manage RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) processing, including returned-product tracking, evaluation, repair or replacement coordination, and documentation. Maintain accurate inventory records for products, components, materials, and supplies. Coordinate packaging, shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment to ensure accurate and timely delivery to customers. Guide and communicate with production employees and interns professionally and effectively. Train new and existing employees and interns on production procedures, quality standards, safety, and operational processes. Analyze operational data and workflows to identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency. Ensure safety-related concerns are promptly communicated and addressed. Maintain a clean, safe, efficient, and organized production environment. Work with sales and management to develop production schedules based on sales forecasts, customer orders, inventory, and supply availability. Help develop processes and systems to grow and scale Barobo's production and operational capacity. Coordinate with accounting and management on purchasing, inventory, order fulfillment, shipping, and related operational records. Document and continuously improve production procedures, quality-control processes, and operational workflows. Perform other related duties as assigned in a team environment. Requirements Experience in production, manufacturing, operations, inventory, order fulfillment, or a related area is preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Good mechanical and/or technical aptitude with an interest in learning and troubleshooting products. Ability to identify problems and develop practical solutions. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Comfortable guiding and training production employees and interns. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Comfortable learning and using CRM, inventory, accounting, shipping, and other business software. A self-starter who is comfortable taking initiative and following tasks through to completion. Hands-on attitude and willingness to perform a variety of production and operational tasks. Interest in improving processes and helping Barobo grow and scale its production operations. Relevant practical experience, technical training, or education is preferred; a college degree is not required. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-moving environment. Ability to lift heavy boxes (up to 50 pounds) and carry them up and down stairs. Must be a US citizen. Salaries are determined by role, level, and location. The base salary range for this full-time position is $28-$38 per hour. An individual's base salary is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
