  • Coordinate with Engineering required materials needed to produce product.
  • Order materials to include: strand, mesh, embeds.
  • Optimize costs with diligent purchasing, scheduling, and material fabrication.
  • Schedule jobs as efficiently as possible with minimum downtime.
  • Ensure Receiving has checked-in and inspected material from outside vendors and make sure it's accessible for Production.
  • Prepare and run Pre-Job meetings with Production personnel.
  • Facilitate the Engineering / Production meetings.
  • Input material / release IFC material.
  • Transmit Panel and Material drawings.
  • Issue material requirements to the Fabrication Shop based on information supplied from material forecast.
  • Coordinate with the purchasing agent to procure raw material for the Fabrication Shop.
  • Coordinate with the Material Control Lead person to ensure materials are accurately tracked.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels of fabrication raw materials.
  • Perform weekly tracking of inventory raw material usage and receiving.
  • Reconcile monthly physical inventory with theoretical inventory.
  • Maintain project material fabrication files.
  • Perform monthly strand inventories.
  • Daily pour packs.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.
Essential Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Proficient in Excel and Word.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet objectives.
  • Good math skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Reflect a good attitude towards safety and safety habits.
Preferred Experience:
  • Precast/prestressed concrete experience.
  • Bilingual.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to be very active and constantly requires standing, sitting, walking, and bending. This position does require going out into the Plant periodically to conduct material inventory.
