Job Description

The Certified Pharmacy Technician - Operations Support position is primarily responsible for supporting the organization's Equipment Management Program while providing additional operational support to pharmacy services. The individual will be cross trained in inventory management, packing, logistics, and other operational functions based on department needs.

The ideal candidate is a Certified Pharmacy Technician who is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable working with medical equipment and inventory, and willing to learn multiple operational functions.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This role requires the ability to work flexibly across office, pharmacy, warehouse, storage, and receiving environments while maintaining a high level of physical activity. The employee must be able to frequently stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the workday, including safely moving and lifting up to 40 pounds. Daily operations may include unpacking, organizing, transporting, and storing medical equipment and supplies.

QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent. Current Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) is required. Pharmacy technician experience preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to learn medical equipment management processes, inventory systems, and operational software. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn pharmacy and inventory management software. Willingness to be cross-trained in equipment management, inventory, packing, logistics, and other pharmacy operational functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Equipment Management & Lifecycle Operations Support the day-to-day operations of the Equipment Management Program, with a primary focus on infusion pumps and related accessories. Assist with equipment deployment, tracking, returns, cleaning, inspection, preventive maintenance coordination, and redistribution. Prepare, inspect, clean, organize, and deploy medical equipment to support operational and patient care needs. Process equipment returns, exchanges, and routine service needs and coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs with external service vendors. Perform equipment asset reconciliation, routine inventory counts, and audits to maintain appropriate stocking levels. Identify, document, and report equipment discrepancies, damage, or operational issues and escalate concerns as appropriate. Maintain accurate equipment records, documentation, logs, and tracking information. Inventory, Logistics & Pharmacy Support Receive, unpack, inspect, stock, and distribute medical equipment, pharmacy supplies, and operational materials. Maintain appropriate inventory levels of equipment, packaging, and shipping supplies. Utilize operational software and shipping systems to document equipment status, track shipments, and manage daily tasks. Participate in monthly drug and supply inventory. Support packing and logistics functions as needed and once appropriately trained. Assist with packing audits and other operational quality checks. Perform pharmacy technician duties within established training and competency. Coordinate with pharmacy, nursing, logistics, patients, caregivers, and external vendors as needed. Quality, Compliance & Operational Support Maintain accurate documentation and support operational audits, tracers, and compliance activities. Follow company policies, regulatory requirements, quality standards, and patient confidentiality requirements. Complete required training and demonstrate competency for each assigned operational function. Assist with departmental projects and process-improvement initiatives. $43,000.00 - $47,840.00 per year
