US Shingle & Metal

Production Coordinator Material Ordering & Scheduling

Job Description

About the Company US Shingle and Metal is a licensed Florida roofing contractor (CCC1331960) installing shingle, metal, and tile roofing systems across 15 Florida counties. We fabricate our own metal roofing panels in-house. Our team of about 30 people covers permitting, production, warehouse, finance, and marketing. About the Role The Production Coordinator owns the inside side of production: turning sold jobs into ordered material, scheduled crews, and clean records. You will manage roughly 20-30 installs per week from sold job to completed install. You are the link between sales, the field, our suppliers, and the warehouse. You will not be on roofs
  • you will be the person making sure the right material is on the right roof on the right day, and that our job costs match what was quoted.
This role fits someone who has worked in roofing before, understands metal roofing (panel profiles, gauges, trim and flashing, fastener and underlayment requirements) well enough to check a material list for mistakes, and has hands-on experience running jobs in ServiceTitan. What You Will Do Produce material takeoffs from CAD drawings, roof plans, and measurements, and build material orders from them; catch shortages, wrong profiles, colors, or lengths before they hit the truck. Place and track purchase orders with roofing distributors and metal coil/trim suppliers; confirm pricing against quotes, lead times, and delivery dates. Coordinate deliveries and pickups with suppliers, our warehouse, and crews so material arrives when the job is ready
  • not a week early or a day late.
Schedule and manage roughly 20-30 installs per week: assign crews, sequence jobs, and keep the production calendar current as permits, inspections, weather, and material change. Maintain jobs in
ServiceTitan:
job status, materials, POs, notes, photos, and handoffs so the office and field see the same information. Reconcile supplier invoices to POs and job material budgets; flag overages, returns, and credits to finance. Manage returns, restocking, and back orders; keep warehouse stock counts accurate for common items. Communicate daily with superintendents, crews, permitting, and customer service on job readiness and changes. Track job costs against the estimate and report variances to leadership. What We Are Looking For Required 2+ years in residential or commercial roofing in a production, purchasing, estimating, or project coordination role. Working knowledge of metal roofing systems and components
  • standing seam and exposed-fastener panels, trim and flashing, clips, fasteners, underlayment
  • and how to read a panel cut list. Able to read CAD drawings / roof plans and produce accurate material takeoffs from them
  • squares, panel lengths and counts, trim, flashing, fasteners, and accessories.
Hands-on experience using ServiceTitan for job management, scheduling, purchasing, or dispatch. Experience ordering material from roofing distributors (e.g., ABC, SRS, Beacon) and tracking POs to invoices.
Comfortable in spreadsheets and detail-oriented:
you check numbers twice and notice when something does not add up. Clear, direct communicator who can work with crews, suppliers, and office staff. Preferred Familiarity with Florida Building Code and HVHZ product approval requirements as they affect material selection. Experience with JobNimbus Bilingual English/Spanish. Compensation and Benefits $55,000
  • $70,000 per year, based on roofing, metal, and ServiceTitan experience.
Full-time, in-office, Monday-Friday schedule. How to Apply Submit your resume with a short note on your roofing background, your metal roofing experience, and how you used ServiceTitan in your last role. Applicants without roofing experience will not be considered for this position. US Shingle and Metal LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
