With round the clock care, scheduling is of the utmost importance to ensure our residents are aging peacefully, comfortably, and with dignity in a safe environment. The Palm Cottages family places the wellbeing of our residents above all else and is looking for a team member to match our passion and admiration for making a positive difference in the lives of an undervalued population. Are you a good fit? The staffing coordinator needs to possess strong interpersonal skills as well as critical thinking and strong time management skills. The position will include on call responsibility for scheduling purposes as well as multiple administrative tasks. Candidates should be team-oriented and focused while retaining the compassion and devotion that drives them to serve this community to the best of their abilities. The job responsibilities of the Staffing Coordinator include: Plan, organize and implement sustainable staffing strategies to reduce overtime and employee burnout. Investigate company's staffing needs and take actions to staff accordingly and proactively Work with staffing agencies when needed to ensure staffing ratios remain within compliance Identify hard to fill roles and take proactive actions to fill them Assist in candidate screening and interviewing for the resident care department Assist in new employee orientation and on-boarding procedures Provide assistance to the HR Manager/Executive Director on ensuring staff compliance in regards to state regulations Design and plan work shifts schedules for 24/7 coverage of the facility Provide assistance with payroll procedures Create and submit reports for upper management Rotating on call responsibility for weekend coverage with the Resident Care Director Or Executive Director Willing to work on the floor and provide care to residents when necessary Benefits of working with the
