Communicate transportation schedules, route changes, and special trip arrangements to bus drivers, administrators, and other appropriate personnel. Coordinate with building principals, coaches, teachers, and other staff to schedule transportation for school activities and events. Arrange substitute drivers and coordinate coverage when regular drivers are unavailable. Adjust routes and schedules as needed due to student needs, driver availability, school activities, weather, road conditions, or other unexpected circumstances. Maintain accurate records of bus routes, driver assignments, activity trips, and other transportation-related information. Serve as a point of contact for transportation scheduling questions and requests from district staff and families, referring concerns to the appropriate administrator when necessary. Work with the Superintendent and building administrators to address transportation concerns and identify scheduling improvements. Assist with coordinating transportation needs for students requiring specialized services, including special education transportation, as applicable. Monitor transportation requests and scheduling conflicts to help ensure efficient use of district buses and drivers. Help ensure transportation schedules and procedures align with applicable state requirements and district policies.
