Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Operations Specialist Engineer to join our team and drive excellence in nuclear facility operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design, analysis, and management of complex nuclear power systems. You will leverage your expertise in systems engineering, mechanical knowledge, and technical project management to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations at nuclear facilities. Your proactive approach and technical proficiency will support continuous improvement initiatives, uphold safety standards, and advance our mission of sustainable energy production. And we are open to relocation to those qualified. Responsibilities Lead system design reviews and ensure compliance with nuclear engineering design codes and standards, including ASME codes & standards and NRC regulations. Develop detailed technical documentation, including design reports, safety analyses, and quality assurance procedures. Utilize programming languages such as Python, C++, and Fortran for system modeling, data analysis, and automation tasks. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on system engineering projects related to nuclear power systems and radioactive waste management. Conduct technical assessments of manufacturing processes and mechanical components to ensure adherence to quality standards. Oversee technical project management activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies. Provide expertise in laboratory testing, analysis skills, and distributed control systems to support operational reliability and safety enhancements. Skills Extensive construction experience within nuclear or power plant environments. Strong proficiency in Python, C++, Fortran, and other programming languages relevant to system analysis and automation. Deep understanding of systems engineering principles applied to nuclear power systems. Hands-on experience with nuclear facility operations, including radioactive waste handling and safety protocols. Knowledge of nuclear engineering design codes & standards such as ASME codes & standards and NRC regulations. Proven ability in design review, design engineering, and technical writing for complex projects. Leadership skills with a track record of team leadership in technical settings. Mechanical knowledge complemented by manufacturing experience and mechanical engineering expertise. Familiarity with distributed control systems used in power plants or nuclear facilities. Laboratory experience supporting analysis skills related to nuclear materials or systems. Experience working with radioactive waste management processes and quality assurance protocols within regulated environments.
