The ERC Operations Specialist provides technical support at IHQ and operational field leadership in response to the ongoing Ebola outbreak in Ituri Province, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The Ebola Response Coordinator Operations Specialist will rotate between Samaritans Purse Incident Management Team (IMT) support and field deployment to provide oversight of two Ebola Treatment Centers (ETCs), the IPC training program, and other supporting response functions. The position supports safe, effective, and coordinated ETC operations by integrating clinical case management, Infection Prevention and Control (IPC), staff training, patient-data quality, partner coordination, and continuous operational improvement. ERC Operations Specialist:

In the role of ERC Operations Specialist, you will have the opportunity to: Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ. Lead Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART) Operations including ETCs in response to the Ebola outbreak. Serve as on-site leadership overseeing day-to-day operations of two ETCs, IPC training program, and other response operations Lead handovers for ETC staff rotations, ensuring peer review and continued maintenance of protocol adherence Engagement in all coordination mechanisms including ongoing maintenance and strengthening of relationships with the Incident Management (COUSP), MOH, WHO, and partners Support response efforts as a technical team member on the Ebola Response Incident Management Team (IMT), providing guidance to field leadership and serving as a liaison between the field and IHQ leadership Coordinate with IMT Response Manager, Awards Management Team, and Regional Leadership in implementation of USDOS grant award including data collection and reporting Integrated ETC Operations, Clinical Case Management, and IPC Support Stay up to date on evolutions in evidence-based management of EVD relevant to this outbreak of Bunibugiyo strain including updates in Ministry of Health and WHO guidance Lead case management workflows including patient admission, monitoring, treatment adjustments, discharge planning, and safe burial coordination per Samaritans Purse SOPs, World Health Organization (WHO), and national Ministry of Health Ebola protocols Provide oversight to patient data collection ensuring quality of data and integration into DHIS2 platform Support ongoing quality improvement in clinical case management, education to DART and national staff on management of VHF, and evaluation of adverse events Coordinate clinical, IPC, WASH, logistics, pharmacy, laboratory, staffing, and administrative functions to support safe and efficient ETC operations Ensure Samaritans Purse IPC practices and SOPs, including donning and doffing, waste management, WASH protocols, environmental cleaning, staff health monitoring, and exposure response, are rigorously followed and aligned with approved best practices Monitor staff compliance, identify potential risk points, and provide immediate feedback and corrective directions to supervising clinicians, IPC personnel, and WASH leads Ensure proper approval chains are followed for technical review, revision, and implementation of SOPs Use operational, clinical, and IPC data to identify trends, improve workflows, and support leadership decisions Identify operational gaps, establish priorities, assign follow-up actions, and escalate risks or resource needs to field and IHQ leadership

Qualifications & Experience :

Advanced clinical credential MD, BSN, RN, Physician Assistant, or related field ideally with clinical or public health experience in infectious diseases. Minimum of three (3) years of international experience in outbreak response, IPC, or public health emergency operations. Prior experience in humanitarian coordination required. WHO EMT, GOARN, or similar field collaboration experience preferred. Twelve (12) credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies strongly preferred. Extensive experience and proficiency in outbreak response and operations for viral hemorrhagic fevers or other high-consequence infectious diseases Strong leadership in cross-cultural, multidisciplinary team environments. Proven ability to integrate and provide practical guidance across clinical case management, IPC, WASH, logistics, staffing, data, and partner coordination in high-risk infectious disease environments Familiarity with international response systems (WHO

EMT, GOARN, MSF, CDC

). Experience in training, mentorship, and capacity building for outbreak and biosafety operations. Excellent communication and coordination with governments, NGOs, and multilateral agencies. Ability to manage ambiguity, prioritize competing demands, make timely decisions, and maintain accountability in rapidly changing environments Demonstrated operational leadership in cross-cultural, multidisciplinary team environments
