Position Summary The Shop Operations Assistant plays a critical role in supporting daily shop operations and ensuring projects are prepared accurately for installation. This position will work closely with the Shop Supervisor and installation teams to help organize, inspect, load, unload, and prepare cabinetry for delivery and installation. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and willing to jump in wherever needed. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in quality craftsmanship, and understands the importance of teamwork and accountability. Key Responsibilities Trailer Loading & Installation Support Assist with loading cabinetry, materials, and project components into installation trailers. Verify that all required materials, hardware, and accessories are included prior to loading. Perform final quality checks to ensure products meet company standards before leaving the shop. Ensure cabinets and materials are handled, secured, and transported with care to prevent damage. Assist with unloading trailers and returning materials as needed. Support installation teams by helping maintain project readiness and organization. Shop Operations Assist the Shop Supervisor and Installers with day-to-day operational tasks. Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Support workflow throughout the shop to ensure projects remain on schedule. Assist with moving, staging, organizing, and preparing materials for production. Help identify and communicate quality concerns, missing materials, or project discrepancies. Assembly & Quality Control Perform minor cabinet assembly and finishing tasks as assigned. Conduct quality inspections of completed cabinetry and components. Verify measurements, hardware, accessories, and project details before shipment. Assist with rework, adjustments, and corrections when necessary. Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail. Team Support Collaborate with production, installation, and leadership teams to ensure successful project completion. Assist with special projects and additional shop duties as assigned. Demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed. Qualifications Strong work ethic and reliability. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to safely lift and move cabinetry, materials, and equipment in excess of 50-100 lbs. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Prior woodworking, cabinet-making, manufacturing, warehouse, or construction experience is helpful but not required. Willingness to learn and grow within the organization. Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
