Position Purpose The Operations and Events Specialistfor the Arthur L. Irving Institute for Energy and Society performs a variety of administrative operations support duties to increase office efficiency and to expedite and coordinate the work of others. The Operations and Events Specialist also supports event/program coordination, implementation and engagement efforts at the Institute. The Operations and Events Specialist reports to the Manager of Building Engagement and Operations. Description Required Qualifications Education and Yrs Exp Bachelors or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Strong planning and organizational skills, including the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, as well as verbal and written communication skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Dedication to improving office efficiencies and workflows
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft Word/Google Docs and Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets
Ability to acquire new technical skills and implement new procedures
Evidence of conscientiousness, selfdirection, and common sense as exercised in a professional context
