The Hospitality Kitchen Operations Assistant is responsible for keeping our corporate hospitality department as efficient and effective as possible. This will require you to be adaptable and willing to do a little bit of everything that our kitchen needs to operate at its highest level. The staff member will assist with food preparation, cleaning the kitchen, washing dishes, preparing simple meals, and more.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
(COMPETENCIES): Follow all food health and safety requirements Ensure the kitchen meets all health and safety requirements Clean and sanitize the kitchen including but not limited to dishes, cookware, utensils, and food preparation work stations
Organize and store kitchen items
Assist in the food preparation process by cutting, chopping, slicing, and washing vegetables, meats, and other ingredients
Ready prepared food for transportation to multiple facilities within our area
Assist the catering manager to oversee, prepare, cook, and deliver each day's caterings Present and serve food Check, store, and manage inventories and track food wastage Assist with the loading and unloading of deliveries and their proper storage Communicate kitchen needs to supervisors Interact with customers and site coordinators as needed Able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced commercial kitchen setting Preform other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 18 years old High school diploma or general education degree (GED), preferred; minimum 2 years related work experienced may be considered as equivalency Students and/or graduates of culinary arts programs preferred Existing knowledge of food safety procedures Basic understanding of how to operate kitchen equipment Previous experience in a restaurant preferred Keenness to follow instructions and prepare ingredients according to the Chef's instructions Strong teamwork and communication skills Adaptable, hard-working, and willing to take direction Ability to work weekends and nights when needed Provide own source of transportation for any local/day travel, including travel between Indium Corporation facilities

The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the range for the position. The actual range will vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position's qualifications, and internal equity. The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package.
